Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

DoneDocs is not a law firm, and nothing here — or in the app — is legal advice. These terms are written in plain language on purpose. If any part is unclear, email us at support@getdonedocs.com and we will explain it.

What DoneDocs is

DoneDocs is a simple electronic signature service for solo operators — freelancers, consultants, landlords, and small businesses. You upload a PDF, place signature and form fields on it, and send a secure signing link to someone else. They sign in their browser with no account required. We keep a tamper-evident audit trail of what happened and give both sides a final signed copy.

Beta service, provided as-is

DoneDocs is a young product. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be available every minute or free of bugs. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. If DoneDocs is ever down or misbehaves at a bad moment, please tell us — but you use it at your own risk.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use DoneDocs. You sign in with Google or with a magic link sent to your email. We never see or store passwords. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything done under it. One account per person — do not share your login.

Pricing

Free: send up to 3 documents per month, free. No credit card required.

Pro — $10/month: a flat $10 per month in your currency (USD, CAD, or EUR), with a much higher monthly send allowance, clean PDFs with no DoneDocs branding, and longer-lived signing links. No per-seat math, no asterisks.

Pro is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your account page — you keep Pro until the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Refunds

If DoneDocs failed you — the service was down, a feature you paid for did not work — email support@getdonedocs.com and we will make it right, including a refund where that is fair. We are a tiny team and we would rather keep you than keep your ten dollars.

Your documents

Your documents are yours. We store them only so the service can work: to show them to you and your signer, to produce the signed copy, and to maintain the audit trail. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not use DoneDocs for anything illegal.

When you send a document, you confirm that the person you are sending it to is the right recipient and that you have a legitimate reason to ask them to sign.

Acceptable use

Do not use DoneDocs to:

  • break the law or help anyone else break it;
  • send signing links as spam, phishing, or to people who have no reason to expect them;
  • probe, scan, or attack the service, or try to access other people's documents;
  • scrape the service or resell access to it without our written permission.

If you do any of this, we may suspend or close your account. For anything else, we will warn you first when that is reasonable.

About legal validity

Electronic signatures are recognized by law in many places — including under the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States and eIDAS in the European Union — when the signature shows the signer's identity and intent and the document has not been altered afterwards. DoneDocs is built to capture exactly that evidence: who signed, when, from where, and a tamper-evident record of every step.

But whether a particular signed document holds up in a particular dispute depends on facts we cannot see. That is a question for a lawyer, not for us.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, DoneDocs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including a deal falling through because a document was delayed or unavailable. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $10 if you were on the free plan).

Termination

You can stop using DoneDocs anytime and delete your documents from the dashboard. To erase your account entirely, email support@getdonedocs.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if we do, we will tell you why when the law allows it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use DoneDocs after a change means you accept the new terms.
